Split your group into Hogwarts houses. Each house has bonus rules that only apply to them:

- Ravenclaw: Drink whenever someone answers a question or shows off knowledge
- Hufflepuff: Drink whenever someone shows loyalty or kindness
The house that drinks the most by the end wins the House Cup.
Tips for Your Harry Potter Drinking Game
- Use beer or cider. The universal rules trigger constantly, especially “someone says Harry.” Do not use shots or liquor unless you want a very short marathon.
- Start with the first three films. They are lighter in tone and work better as fun drinking games. The later films get darker and more emotional.
- Theme your drinks. Butterbeer recipes are all over the internet. Even simple apple cider or cream soda with a splash of butterscotch schnapps works.
- Cap it at 2-3 movies. A full marathon is 20 hours. Pick your favorites and save the rest for next time.
- Use subtitles. You do not want to miss a “Harry” trigger because someone mumbled.
